Senior Associate & Project Manager in DRC

About Acasus

We are a consultancy dedicated to helping governments implement transformational reforms in health and education. Our goal is to improve public health and education for those who need it the most. In just five years, Acasus has developed a strong reputation supporting governments across Asia, Africa and South America.

We work in small teams which support the most senior officials in government (typically at ministerial or prime-ministerial level) to drive rapid reforms. Much of our day-to-day work involves helping officials to:

  • Plan and develop strategies

  • Monitor progress

  • Use data and other information

  • Build capacity and skills throughout the system

  • Improve coordination and cooperation

  • Solve problems and challenges as they arise

  • Access international evidence and lessons about what works

Our project teams include a mix of experienced consultants from leading international consultancies (e.g. McKinsey, Roland Berger and others) and highly talented locally-hired staff. Our success depends on being able to attract good people and provide them with high quality professional development.

Context & Impact

It is hard to overstate the potential impact of this work. In Pakistan, the team achieved the fastest increase in vaccination coverage ever recorded — improving coverage of life-saving vaccines for kids from around 50% to 90% across the more than 2 million children born each year in Punjab province.

An international organization has asked Acasus to replicate this success across multiple countries in Africa starting with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ethiopia and Mozambique. Our work in DRC has already kicked off and is already proving highly effective.
