How will you make an impact?

As a Project Finance Specialist, you will take end-to-end ownership of project financial control and accounts receivable operations. Working closely with project leaders and executive management, you will optimise our financial systems and standardise project performance tracking. Going beyond traditional AR operations, you will combine financial controlling with project management to drive business insights, enabling our teams to deliver transformational reforms effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and analysing active project financials against budgets to ensure precise revenue recognition and cost allocations.
  • Collaborating with project managers to build accurate project budgets, prepare cash flow forecasts, and perform variance analysis.
  • Delivering financial reports and insights to executive management and project leaders to drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Navigating non-standard project structures, complex deliverables, and custom client exceptions with flexibility and structured financial control.
  • Partnering with internal teams to ensure timely milestone completion, drafting precise customer invoices, and streamlining billing workflows.
  • Overseeing global accounts receivable (AR) health, driving proactive collection strategies, and minimising Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Producing weekly debtor aging analyses and risk management updates for finance leadership.
  • Identifying inefficiencies in current financial workflows, proposing innovative ideas, and executing improvement strategies to standardise project financial measurement.
  • Maintaining accurate customer master data, project setups, and revenue tracking within Salesforce/Certinia.

We are looking for:

  • 3–5 years of experience in project finance, financial control, or accounts receivable, ideally within an international professional services, consulting, or agency environment.
  • Proven track record in project revenue tracking, budget variance analysis, and global AR collection strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets, including financial modelling, complex formulas, and data analysis.
  • A strategic controller mindset with strict attention to data integrity, compliance, and internal controls.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the confidence to advise and influence non-finance project managers.
  • Proactive and independent ownership, with the ability to bring fresh ideas that fit our collaborative, continuous-improvement culture.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment by proactively solving problems and managing competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems; direct experience with Salesforce and Certinia is a strong advantage.
  • Fluency in both written and verbal English.

What’s in it for you?

  • A competitive compensation package, including a base salary, private health insurance, cafeteria benefits, and annual performance-based bonus.
  • High levels of responsibility and autonomy.
  • A flexible working model – you can work from home most days, with 1–2 days per week in the office to connect with the team in person.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow within a supportive team.
  • The chance to see your work make a tangible impact on health and education services every day.
  • Opportunities to connect with colleagues worldwide at annual global conferences.

Our team is diverse in nationality, gender, race, religion, ethnicity, class, age, education and sexuality. We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
